Terry.
I have answered your questions next to your questions.
sorry for cutting up your email.
I hope I have given you enough information on this subject.
Thanks in advance.
Now correct me if I've got any info wrong;
Yours is a
(Sedan)
with a
(stanza L16 so you seem to think as through earlier email to me) so you've got a
Hitachi single points dizzy.
(it is single points but not sure on the hitachi bit though)
I found out my carby is off a L24 as I have finally found another one the same on (
Chris / FJ man's) skyline he bought for the rear diff he keeps asking how to fit) LOL
Has the ignition system been modified in any way? coil, ballast resister etc
(not sure)
(8mm top gun leads)
>The problem only happens at wot at 3200 rpm? splutters at (3200rpm) and
>pulls to (7100 rpm) normally?
(yes)
Does this problem happen in all gears at wot?
(no just 1st and 2nd)
Does hot or cold ambient temperature make any difference to the problem?
(not at all)
what happens if say you use 1/2 throttle
(Umm I have never use half throttle DATTO'S are made for full throttle) LOL. 8O)
to 4000 rpm in 3rd (problem not evident) and at 4000 rpm you floor it - does it rev
through to 6000 rpm
without any sign of the problem?
(I will try out the half throttle thing and get back to you)
Thanks again.
Rick White.
