Chris,
Is the noise constant under load, get loader, faster etc. Does it appear to
be coming from any particular area of the engine, front centre rear. Is it
noticeable at idle, does it increase with rpm.
It's a bit hard if you can't hear a noise as over time one learns the
different sounds. Like a big end (knock) sounds different to a water pump or
alternator (whirr) to a tappet (tick). Do you have someone close to come
look see eer hear to give an opinion. What do you think it could be?
