Peter & All,

OK.. so does that mean that I could probably convince an engineer to accept
the 5.5/6 x 13's as the largest wheels fitted (by manufacturer)?..
which i could use as a base to get my 16x7's registered?.. would you do
that? according to the vicroads homepage i can increase rim size but rim +
tyre can be no bigger than 15mm of original rim + tyre size. that means
(according to my poor maths anyway).. that my tyres would end up having a
profile of (with my 16" wheels) ~74mm. is that acceptable?..

rims 16x7
tyres 225/?(whatever 74mm is)R16

sorry for the really specific questions and all.. but i'm mainly interested
in if i'm thinking about these things the right way or if i've made a big
boo-boo somewhere.
thanks again,

Dave
