Thanks for all your help, I am actually studying Mec engineering ( but I was a mechanic) at uni at the monent- wait 1 year and I will find a cost effective solution! HE HE HE I will see if I can do a side project and use the uni equipment to make other ratios, ( hence free other then materials) but I was trying to find an easier answer.  But brad did arise a good point about the lack of turning circle and the weight of the steering with a faster ratio.  But there must be a point where it is bearable.  Now there is two brains pondering on this subject, hopefully one of us will come up with a good solution- good luck!
