OT question (Mazda 1500)

List, my friend has a Mazda 1500 that we are going to be removing the head. Basically is overheated and now something in it is stuffed. We will remove the head to find the problem then fix it.   BUT! I have no idea how to remove the head on a Mazda 1500!!   Can it be much harder than a Datsun OHC?
