Gday
Yes i just looked up a 1994 road users handbook and P platers are only allowed to
travel at a maximum of 80kph. I also rekon acceleration is better than top speeds
on the roads, if only my car accelerated good. And i agree speeding in
residential areas is silly especially when its schools and shopping centres
around. But on the duel carrige way highways i cant see why we have 110kph limit.
On a clear day with not much traffic 140kph limit would be totally safe. We
should have those adjusting limits like in Europe. They have electronic boards
that have the limit on them depending on the weather conditions and amount of
traffic on the road. Its a great idea. Somehow i dont think the Australian
authorities are progressive enough to introduce this idea. And Chris how many
revs was your 4 speed doing at 150kph? And what do you rekon is the highest
cruising speed for it?
Pele.
