Actually I made functional trumpets out of the original pressed-metal intake horns in the original orange backing plate by just steel-brazing some thick welding wire around the outer edge and filing it smooth for a good radius. They worked, there was induction noise, I also used a K & N filter element in the original housing, and drilled some extra holes around the edge of the housing. Cheap and very effective. ---------- From: "Tom Richardson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: Some SU questions Date: Sat, 9 Sep 2000 12:39 PM Thanks for the info Terry, I have found some trumpets that are pretty much the same length as the ones in that ghastly orange plate (probably safe to stick to for the time being I imagine), should get a nice induction noise now too :o) --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
