Richard,
Thanks for the inspiration, how does a "grand father owned" 72 auto in bog
stock trim sound?
Sounds Grouse. I have a column shifter in the shed at home too.
You did a hundred laps last year? What do you use to stop the car after the
first 20 laps? Standard brakes would have been thoroughly cooked by then.
I was running 74' 240K front struts and brakes with metal king pads. We ran
the engine in that day at the track. It would only pull 144Km/h on the
straight (su carbs). In the arvo my brother and I ran relay style. He would
go and do six laps, then come in to the pits and swap with me. We went
though a full tank of petrol and a 20L gerry can. Brakes lasted until late
in the day when the pedal went spongy (brake fluid to hot probably). The car
is much faster now so I will need to sort out some better brakes before
then.
Regards
Trev

Thanks for the inspiration, how does a "grand father owned" 72 auto in bog
stock trim sound? It wont even climb a set of ramps without a run at them!
Hopefully next year I'll bring my 1600SSS.
