Ozdatters,
Thanx, you guys are great. The motor did stay cool for a while but after
about 90km at 120 it did start to sit at the same temp as yesterday.(I have
an old smiths and it shows approx. 100F?) Anyway I got a 71 deg c termostat
and a new housing. Since taking out the dead one I see a lot of bad sh*t in
the coolant considering I have flushed it twice in 3mths. The engineer didnt
pass it but didnt fail it either. He was OK but gave me greif on the build
date and picked out sh*tty little things. Thanks for the heater tips, all I
need now is a roof some doors, oh, and a heater;)
BTW did anyone go to Wakefield for the championships on the weekend? There
was a mad 1600, 120y and a really old Skyline. Very enjoyable day with a 7
capping of a 1:01 on the new track. Best the super v8s could get was a 1:09.
Go the 4s.
P.S. Did the CA16 ever come out in a rear wheel drive config? For
competition I cant go any bigger. For the street/sprints CA18 sure, but for
the series I cant go over 1600.
Thanx heaps
Justin
