Eric,
If you've got the 48mm 200B hubs I'm pretty sure the ball joints will past
their use by date as the symptoms are exactly the same as mine and a few
other's I've seen. You'll find that the contact will happen under heavy
breaking as well as bumps if the ball joints are stuffed. This also seems to
be more of a problem with the pre '70 type 1600's with the tapered ball
joints.

Simon
When I first fitted the 200B struts mine was doing the same but not all the
time. It was happening when going over bumps when the control arm would
scrape the disk. Rather than grind away the control arm I just used a small
lump hammer and beat the lower edge of the control arm back in towards the
ball joint. If you still have the inside disk cover you should be able to
see where the control arm was hitting.
Cheers
Eric
