Bruce,
I've got a gauge set or two lying around somewhere in the shed, I'll dig
them up and call past. Give me a ring tomorrow at work and we'll tee
something up, I'm out on a computer installation Tuesday night so maybe
Wednesday?

Subject: Guage Problems
Listers,
I started the Datto resto on Sun, its been 12 months
almost to the day since I pushed into the garage for
the complete rebuild.
It started after the 3rd turn of the key and sounds
sweeet. No leaks, no spurious noises. etc. I am one
"Happy Chappie". BTW the dizzy works a treat thanks
Errol. Now all I have to do is finish the doors,
tyres, tune the carbs and then off to rego.
One thing that I do have a problem with is that
neither the fuel or temp guages work. I earthed the
guages out and both register correctly. The sender
units are also known to be good. The only thing I can
think of is the regulator. I replaced the Alt with a
Bosch internally regulated one, but it charges the
correct value so I must have connected it correctly
????
Can anyone shed any light on how to rectify this
problem ??????
Cheers
Bruce
