Yes the overhead scanners check if the vehicle is alowed to be on the
freeway and yes the tunnel does have speed cameras. One thing i have
thought about is how easy it would be for the cops to use the scaners for
speed detectors, they know the exact time you went past the scanner and how
far it is between the scaners so it would be easy to work out average speed
of vehicle, they could then use this info to set up speed traps with cops
waiting at the exits to pick u up.. i doubt this would be legally binding
but it doesn't take much to change the law....Food for thought....Tod.
