Mick,
Your
valve clearances in metric are spot on for Cold settings.
Hot
Inlet 0.25 mm or 0.010" and Hot Exhaust 0.30 mm or
0.012"
On the
cam timing, seeing as how you chocked the chain tensioner the only way you could
have got everything 180 degrees out is the cam got turned and then the
sprocket got turned to suite, there is just no other way you could have
done it. Although I was technically correct in saying you can't
fit a cam 180 degrees out you can fit a cam in either of two positions and the
engine doesn't know the difference but this is a bit confusing - what you have
done is put your dizzy driveshaft out 180 degrees.
