I just read about a new pulsed MIG welder in Automotive Engineering
International that allows .99mm aluminium to be welded. 24-210A Output.
Made by Miller Electric Manufacturing Co. called the Millermatic Pulser.
Now that'd be nice to have in the garage.
I'd have to agree with you on control and using it for large sections
with the regular MIG, I can't see it being suitable for doing an
intercooler for example unless you were REALLY good welding with it.
I did however make a strut brace, not TIG quality but it did the job
using the wrong gas. My wire feed problems come from the drive and
not the handpiece/cable.
