You can listen to any frequency you want apart from police and military
frequencies. This includes voice and radar. It is not legal to listen to
police voice on scanners. The radar frequencies are (from memory) 5.5GHz,
11GHz and 14GHz. The oscillators in Radios/CB's and other things are no
where near the frequencies of radar's so they don't pick them up.
