Michael,
I think there are available kits that meet the regulations & have the standard fitting
the same as the rubber ones so you just remove the rubber one & fit the
braided one. I'm not sure what the standard is they may have to meet(possibly D.O.T.
or TUV etc) for Australian regulations.
On the rally car I just used the 6mm plastic clips electricians use to hold wires in
place & screwed or riveted these to the body shell.
