Daniel,
Thats why I asked what brakes you have. I also started to run out of
pedal using widened volvo 4 spots on the front with 200B slaves in standard
drums so I went to the 7/8 master. I bought another 1600 that had 200B
fronts with standard master cylinder so I changed it to a boosted 7/8 master
but it didn't work to well.I've got another set of volvo 4 spots I just
need to get them widened.

Andrew, I
changed from a 3/4 as when I put 200B struts/Hilux calipers on, the pedal
travel changed so much. It would have been fine except that I'm putting
R31 rears on very shortly and didn't want my pedal going all the way to
the floor just to push enough fluid into the brakes! But if your
are just keeping the rears as standard drums stay with the 3/4, there is
more than enough piston size for your combo! I grinded out the spacer
and it works fine! Cheers Daniel

Booster problems, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Daniel,
Just grind it out with the die grinder. What brakes are you using? I
use the 7/8" with 200b fronts and I reckon it works crap.I'm going to try
a 3/4'' cylinder to see if it improves the brakes like others on the list
have recomended.

List,
I went to put on my 7/8ths 79 skyline
master cylinder on my 1600 but have run into a bit of a hurdle. The
aluminium plate/spacer that goes between the master cylinder bore and the
brake booster appears to be to small. Well the inside diameter anyway.
Where the spacer steps down inside (side closest to the booster) turns
out to be smaller than the diameter of the stepped down section on the
master cylinder. I was thinking of taking to it with the die grinder
and making the inside diameter to the required size. Is this too
dodgy or should I just ring the wreckers back and get them to send me the
one off the skyline brake booster? Cheers
