I'm NEARLY done with my z20e transplant, but just can't get it to start.
Here's what we've checked so far:
-Plenty of flow from the pump to the rail, filter and regulator are on the
right ways around and are in the right spots.
-The distributor and coil are setup correctly (as far as we can tell-
duplicated the 510 wiring diagram, bypassing ballast resistor [leccy dizzy])
with nice juicy sparks when cranking. Checked timing on dizzy at TDC #1,
lines up for 0 deg advance (for now :)
-Signal from -ve on coil to computer (not sure if this is correct but this
is the only remaining plug on the right place on the loom)
-Checked voltage at the injectors, 12V (no duty cycle measurement so will
try pulling an injector out to see if they're firing tomorrow)
If I check them out and they aren't firing, what could be causing the
injectors to do this? What signal can I test for at the injector plug to see
if the computer is working? If they're really full of gunk will they stop
all together?
The only connector left on the loom (in the engine bay side) has three pins,
two of which match up with the z18 loom for power, so we wired those to
+12v. the last one is black/white- should this go to the -ve side of the
coil for pulse?
Any other suggestions guys?
