Another disadvantage of suck thru is they are more prone to backfires that
blow thru (so I'm told, I've seen both do it at one time or another) and it
ain't pretty when it happens.
I saw a gas taxi backfire in the Ampol at Braddon the other night, someone
removed the doover that's supposed to stop that or at least minimize the
effect - it blew that absolute crap out of the air box and everything within
a foot around it. The guy just shoved all the bits in the boot and drove
off. I spose what else could he do, maximum embarrassment factor.

You can't use an intercooler with suck through, you can with blow thru.
Also the blow thru system will have better throttle response. And easier
cold starting.
