A perfect stock radiator is quite capable of handling an L20 with power outputs up to 150BHP.  Your radiator repairer can recore your for about $60. For $260 you can get it recored with a triple row core which gives you about 40% more cooling capacity in the original housing.

The Golf/Rabbit is often used for engine transplants as it thinner and allows power steering/aircon pumps and other stuff on modern motors to remain.  You have to adapt it to fit you engine.

Subject: big radiator for 1600

Hi listers

Need to know what is a good radiator for a stroked l20b
as I pulled my old one out the shed (been there for 3 years)
filled him with water and surprise surprise massive leak
from where the core and reservoir meet,
Any help would be much appreciated.
