Thanks Tom, I stand corrected, could be just the inlines that have the IHIs,
the only rotary I've ever owned was an auto 12a capella. I totally agree
about torque, If you noticed my email address, you might gather what my
daily driver is :) gotta love factory 225kw and 460Nm of torque.

In regards to oil return, unfortunately the oil takes the path of least
resistance, if you look at any standard Nissan turbo vehicle, you'll notice
the returns are more than twice the diameter of the feed and are quite
susceptible to drainage problems.

my thoughts on twin setups are this, If you're going to the trouble of
fabricating manifolds, it's far easier to plumb for one, not two, 2 second
hand turbos do not flow the same (similar, but not quite), so what do you
do?, set one to run 1-3-5, the other 2-4-6 (better than 1-2-3 and 4-5-6
IMHO) the manifolding is fairly easy to fabricate if you have access to a
mig and laser cutting facilities, but what happens if one turbos stock w/g
value is 8psi, the other is 7psi (I have noticed this on many s/h turbos,
and can be minimised to some degree in the way you plumb the w/g diaphragm
lines), take the chance of leaning out 3 pots in the attempt to extract the
most hp, or go the safe method and run the mixture on the fat side, and lose
both economy and power. It's certainly up to the individual, I know of
quite a few GTR ( a countless numbers in Japan) owners that ditch the twin
setup and go for a large single (admitly, an RB26 is just starting to get
into their working RPM, when a 4.1 is running out of steam).

no matter what system is chosen, there will be compromises, but if either
are done by a competent owner, then there are big $$$ to be saved, along
with the great "warm and fuzzy" feeling that, "YES... I've done this
myself."

regards Eddie
