Feral Errol(or anyone else in the know),
If one was to shave down the V91 head so it resembled a W53 'closed head'
design could you have a high compression head that runs on ULP??
What sought of port work would you do to the V91 after shaving it down???
If you had done these mods would it be advisory to run PULP??
My 1600 has two fuel lines running to the engine bay- one for supply, the
other for return. I am not sure which is which. One is fatter than the
other,so I assume this is the supply. Have I assumed correctly??
I put a 32/36 weber on a friends 180B over the weekend. The weber was from
my 1600 which had a supply and return lines to and from the tank, where as
the 180B only has a supply line. Do I :-
(A)-Block the return outlet on the weber and just attach a supply line to
it???
(B)-Loop the reurn line from the weber back to the supply line so that
excess fuel goes back into the weber. I would use a T-piece with a one way
valve. I am not sure whether to tap the supply line before or after the fuel
pump????
(C)-IS it worthwhile having a return???? Does it improve economy a great
deal????I went to my local Jap wrecker and studied carb layout on different
L-series powered cars.I noticed that a Hitachi carb from a Stanza has only a
supply line, where as a blue bird S2 has what appears to be a return line
coming of the carb. Which would be the best carb??? (they both look very
similar)
Would it be a good idea to plumb a fat pipe going from my carb to under my
bumper so I can take advantage of Canberra's -5 degree nights
this Winter????(my old engine, a stock L18, loved the ridicously cold air of
MT.Buller last winter)
Thanks for your help
Damien
