I had the same problem putting an sender in my SR, I had to get a sleeve machined up
for the sender that came with the temp gauge.

Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone on the list has any experience in fitting an
Autometer temp gauge the an FJ20. I want to try and fit it without retapping
the thread, but I am having trouble finding an adaptor. Went to a certain V8
speed shop in Hombush who proceeded to tell me that "it's metric, don't have
anything metric"
