Yes, both pistons should be active. If they're not it doesn't necessarily
affect braking performance all that much on the street except the active pad
will get far hotter than the passive pad. You will notice that the pad
against the active piston will wear at a much higher rate (more heat). I'd
tear them down and put a kit through them next pad change.

BTW, what rears do you have on this 1600. I'm thinking I might look around
for a set of these 200B wagon callipers for my streeter as my Paget blues
are 1/2 worn and as the cost of a new set these days is mega $$$. I might
try the Ultimate way at <1/3 the price and the Ultimates just may perform as
well with the twin spots as they do with the Girlocks - doesn't cost me too
much to find out I spose.

got arse ended : (  Should both the pistons be active ?  As when I last

the pads I could only move One to get the new pads in.
