Yes I see what you mean, the wiring in the plugs has to be the same as you
don't buy left or right bulbs, the scientific pubs #88 wiring diagram on pg
199 is totally wrong (it has the plugs reversed and the common is in the
middle D'oh) but the Haynes is correct although a tad more difficult to
read. This is not the only error on the SP Aussie wiring diagram as there is
a wrong colour code on a wire to the wiper motor.

Thanks a lot Terry, hopefully i will get them going this weekend. From some
wiring diagrams i had seen the pins on the outer lights were different for
high and low beam elements, but from what you have shown me both lights are
the same regardless of which side of the car they are on, which is what I
had assumed.
