Leight,

I would say the strut you are best to use depends on whether you want
ventilated discs at a reasonable price as technically you can upgrade all 3
to ventilated. Good quality springs and inserts are available for all of
these struts. Availability of the struts in the first place in your area
could influence which one you go for, 240K/C210 Skyline are getting a bit
harder to find in some places. 240K are the shortest (~9.75"), 180B/200B are
around the same length (~10.25"), all are in the range of 35-40mm shorter
than late model 1600 struts (~11.5").

Solid rotors: http://www.adelaide.net.au/~lanzac/bs_brake.html
The cheapest to upgrade bang for $$$ are probably the 200B with Wagon
Summitomo callipers, solid rotors but you can get Ultimate pads and the
rotors are usually in pretty good shape unlike most 240K which are past
their use-by.

Next would be early 200B with Girlock, good cheap upgrade but poor pad
selection these days. eg Bendix Standard, Metal Kings and very exy Pagid
blues.

Late 180B are the popular choice as the economical Mitsui Magna and
Verada/Commodore calliper upgrades suit this strut.

It could be possible that this conversion can also be done as easily using
VT callipers on the 200B/240K struts. I don't know for sure but watch the
list as it's being checked out.

regards
Terry
