The main considerations are the alloy grade used for the mass of the wheel,
the material used for the insert, the method of fixing the insert to the
flywheel body. Mistakes are very costly.

Surely Nat it would be cheaper to buy one from Errol.  It is very time
consuming to machine up an aluminium flywheel to safe spec.  Don't even
think of lightening a steel flywheel to the weight of the alloy job, because
it will self destruct.
