Scott,
You didn't say if you started it back up after you tightened the pully.I would
take the pully off and check the key to see if it's broken or damaged the
shaft.Then i would check the flywheel to see if it has come loose as this can
making a knocking sound like a bigend and can also cause the pully to come
loose.If you still have no joy then pull the spark plugs and turn the engine
over till a piston goes thru tdc and starts to move down a little then see if
you can push the piston down with a screw driver or something.If the piston
moves down a bit then this is a sure sign that you have spun a bigend
bearing.Repeat the process on all cylinders.Sometimes the bigend is stuffed but
not that bad and this is hard to detect unless you remove the head or sometimes
until you remove the bearing cap itself.Before you do all this make sure you
check all the valves thru a complete cycle looking for a bent or sticky
valve(check clearance).Good luck.
