Chris,

Is this for your '69, what sort of heater. Probably Japanese and if it is
there is an early model Holden tap that fits them that you can get from rare
spares. Sorry about the price but this is the only place that I've been able
to find them - I took one in a they matched it up for me, only had to drill
a couple of holes in the bracket.

If it a Smith's then you'll have to look around a bit but you will find
working taps at the wreckers. Smiths were used in Datsuns 1600, 180B, 1200's
and AMI Toyotas Corona RT104, Crown MS65, Valiants made in 70's and maybe a
few other cars. The Smiths taps have universal fittings so depending on what
it was on, you may have to swap the slide around.
