You
can use other cheaper 2nd hand pumps but most are in tank types, Toys (Cressida,
Crown) are the exception. VL turbo pump is good for many reasons - cheap,
reliable, 400hp, you can get one practically anywhere if it does fail out in the
bush somewhere.
You
will need a return; use the existing 1/4" line for the return and fit a min of
5/16" or 3/8" bundy line. VL pump outlet is ~5/16" so not much value going
higher unless you're going to turn things up to get over
400hp.
