Guys, i'm looking at buying a welder, either stick or mig. I'm a complete novice when it comes to welding so i thought i'd ask the group which type of welder would be best for seam welding, patching panels and basically anything car related i suppose.
>From what i've found so far a mig seems to be the way to go (nice even long welds and easier to use for novices) but they are nearly 3 times the price of a stick welder. I don't mind spending the extra to get a mig welder, but i'd prefer (as anyone would) to get the appropriate welder.
