Nissan displayed a rotary powered prototype Datsun 1200 coupe at the Tokyo motorshow in around '72/73. It was black and yellow and based on the 1400GX Excellent model. Motor magazines at the time reckoned it would be in production within a year but it never made it...no idea why. I'm sure I have some pics of it in an old mag somewhere. If I can find them I'll upload them and post the URL.
