i used to own a Z18 1600 and i witnessed my right foot make the engine rev to 10000rpm. i only did it once, but used to give it 7000+ all the time after that. went for ages, the only demise for that engine was a chain guide that broke into pieces and pretty much made salad sandwich out of my bearings.
