Nat
I have done both, I have utilised the original wiring AND also replaced
the loom. Do yourself a favour and rewire the loom with larger wiring
(can't think of the amperage - too many XXXX Sovereigns). Calculate the
maximum current draw of your individual lights at High beam and go for a
higher amperage wire than the result. When you replace the relay, wire
it all up as per normal but wire the relay earth through the switch.
Another way is to order a Hella Relay which controls both high/low beam
and is brilliant to use.

As a side note, I fitted a foot switch to my rally car for high/low
beam, mounted on the foot rest. Shithouse idea, don't even think about
it...

As for ducting the inners, our scrutineers disallowed me from ducting it
to the old air box on the webers, but allowed me to duct to the brakes.

Have a happy new year!

I do the same brad!
I meant that the lights are have constant power to
them and the switch is the earth! Sorry I know I'm not
doing a great explaining job.
All I want to do is change the factory relay with a
new one! thats all. My super Oscars are wired like
yours BUT I want to know, did you rewire your entire
front loom or did you figure it out.

How did you wire your split relay outers?

I have H4's as well and no inners.
I can't duct the inners for the front brakes, the screws(sructineers
HEHE) won't let me. They say it has to be blocked off!

Cheers NAT
P.S thanks for all your through the year Brad! You
have got out of a jam many a times!!!
Cheers again NAT
