James, I have had the same question over and over...
At the end of the day.... anyone who knows their FJ's will tell you that if you have a reasonably good aftermarket computer, and a set of Bosch 600cc Injectors with Good Fuel Supply, you Should be able to run 18psi on a Standard Motor with good quality fuel and a good intercooler on a cool night with a colder Plug NGK BP7ES-R... I wouldn't go thrashing it around on 25 degree celcius plus days in hot traffic though on 18psi.... be aware of things like... warm fuel... and always keep an ear open for pinging. Look after your motor and it'll look after you. (I only Use BP Ultimate and Mobil Synergy... My Motor pings with Optimax for some reason???)
