James, Not having a go here, but........... there were other contributing factors.
The event was very poorly planned and controlled. I agree that some responsibility has to rest with the driver of any car participating in any form of motorsport event, but also there is an onus on the organisers (known as duty of care) to make the event safe. This was not done - hence charges were laid. This should never have happened, we all agree on that - but let's leave it at that and get back to what this list is about - Quality information on Datsun related issues.
