Hey dude a guy I know did it by changing the spring seat as Tom pointed out and it looked the part in his 510 (camber angles etc) he went a bit mad and rebuilt the factory three way adjusters.

Adam,

I think they do fit, but the spring diameter is too large to fit into the 1600 towers.  You have to cut the spring perch off and weld in a smaller one (from a 200b, 240k etc strut) and use the strut tops you have on your 240k struts now.  Not too sure about the wheel offset question sorry!  I do know that Datsport's R31 strut conversion can take FWD style offset rims with their 'custom' crossmember package (which places the strut base further out from the engine) but I haven't heard Barry Burns explain how this doesn't affect the scrub radius yet...

Hope this helps

- Tom

I have a pair of R31 Skyline stuts with the ventelated discs and callipers at home.  I am thinking about fitting them to my 1600 which currently has 240K struts.  Will they fit?  What will happen to my offset for the front if I use them?
