I found 2 1/2 " was very loud with a mildly worked 2L. And I was told that a 2" would be quieter. But apart from the noise it would be a perfect size.

I was wondering if a 2-1/2 inch exhaust would be to big for my worked L20B?
It has geine extractors, over sized inlet valves, over bore, crow cam etc...
That is the biggest pipe one can get through the rear x-member hole is it
not?
Would that have enough back presure ?
