Terry, thanks for the info.

I already have a light bar on the car with wiring etc.. (everything bar the lights)
I will modify the bar to be detachable and build a mounting point inside the boot.

So there are three types of spottie?

Pencil,
Driving, and
Flood (Fog)

So for a fast car you want 2 x Pencil and 2x Driving.
And for a slow car (mine) you want 2x Driving and 2 x Flood or 4 x Driving.

Additionally, what about aftermarket globes?

The headlights from a Lexus's or BMW's have a bluish white light.
Are these Xenon discharge? Are they also called H1 globes?

I think they are about $35 a pair and can replace the standard Halogen globes.
Sounds a worthwhile modification...

Regards,
Nick
