Nick,

Flood when talking night driving lights are a bit different to fog lights.
Some ppl refer to them as spread beams which is a bit closer to it. True
pencil beams are just that i.e. very narrow and I didn't like them. The
beauty of the Cibie range was that they came with various lenses so you
could adjust the outputs to suit the terrain but I usually was quite happy
with 2 mid range driving Super Oscars and 2 spread Oscars, with 400w you
could see the birds in the trees a K away so what more do you need. The
critical thing was to adjust the black spots out of the first 300m x 100m as
they annoy the hell out of you. There are likely to be much better lights
than Cibies around these days as I'm talking 70's/80's but they still do the
business reasonably well.

The globes are H1.

regards
Terry
