Well actually they do! The indicator lights ar ethe reverse lights! The indicator lights come on and stay on whilst you are engaged in reverse. The old cars didn't have specific reverse lights.
I'm not sure how you are going to hook them up if the toploader has no switch. You'd better off ringing around a ford wreajer and asking them, how they trgger it!
