Bob, They're a pretty simple carbie to clean. Much the same as any downdraft weber - don't know about getting bits for them though. They aren't standard on a VW are they - you usually find DCNF on 6 cyls Euro models V6 Lancia, Fiat etc. There is a fair bit of info on the web about them - search google.com for weber dcnf and you'll get plenty of hits.
This one is pretty basic: http://www.geocities.com/johan01.geo/Weber/Sol2Webp3.htm The best parts & diagram site for webers is at Pierce Manifolds. http://www.piercemanifolds.com/weberexplode.htm regards Terry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Bob Sent: Wednesday, 13 February 2002 2:53 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: DCNF - bit off topic Hello All, Does anyone have any information on tuning Weber DCNF carbies? I have one on a beetle, and it would seem that one throat is out of tune, as one half of the motor really doesnt run well until warm. Plugs, leads, points etc etc all new. -- Best regards, Bob mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
