Very
true - to check them, take the dizzy cap off and turn the rotor by hand as far
as it will go anti-clockwise, and the let go of it and check that it will return
to it's original position by itself.

Guys, The
mechanical advance should be the same at a certain revs no matter what the
load/throttle position right?? Any ideas why my car will rev out at part
throttle (jsut slowly of course) but a WOT it will get to a certain RPM at
stop (cought and spit lots) and wont rev any higher?? Thanks in advance Steve
