Mark,

The bolt pattern on both heads is the same so no problem there. Depending on
what the manifold runner diameter is you may have a mismatch with the W53
head. A few mm either way wont hurt too much, It will run but how well and
efficiently fuel wise only time will tell.

regards
Terry

Subject: 45 sidedraught weber

Hi List,

It seems i will need an engineers cert to put the L20 in my 1600, so in the
meantime while i save money i would like to put the 45mm sidedraught weber
that came off the L20B onto my L16 for a bit more power.
The L20 has an A87 head and my L16 has a W53 head, will i need a new
manifold? or could i just slap it on seeing as it will only be for a short
time?
Also, is it difficult/expensive to get the jetting changed on the weber to
suit the smaller capacity engine? I really have no idea about this so any
help would be great.

Thanks,

Mark.
