well, this morning, i puller the starter out, and ripped the solenoid off, and put it back on, everything moves fairly easy. i can just pull on the starter gear and the solenoid moves in and out

It sounds like your solenoid is not engaging.  This happens when they get sticky.  If you get someone to tap it with a hammer while you are trying to start it then it should free up.
