You don't have to cut a hole in the floor as such, just extend the hole 
that the shifter pokes through to allow for the longer gearbox (if 
you're using a R30 Skyline dogleg or Stanza SSS dogleg you don't have to 
cut anything)

If you've got an angle grinder, just cut a bit away at a time until it 
fits.  It's easy :)
