hi,  what you  are talking about is optical. hall efect is  a magnet passing
by a semiconductor that is sensitive to  magnetic  fields. reluctor is a
magnet that is passed by a coil of wire, and when the magnet passes by he
coil, it  induces a tiny voltage in the coil/pickup.
