The S15 engines aren't weaker in any respect but the gearboxes can take less punishment due to the narrower dimensions nessecary to fit the extra ratio in. S13 is probably the best bet because S14 engines are pretty expensive! You can fit just practically any fuel & ignition computer to an SR20.
