You have to have padding, and if the seat and cage are set-up OK there is only a small 
chance of hitting the header bar <un-friendly name :(>

As I said, I'd rather take my chances like that.
I'd much rather a nice quick tap to the head than to be crushed like a coke can!

There is a problem if you sell the car to a non-enthusiast though.

Do you mind if i ask how much it cost? BrownDavies has quoted approx $1100 fitted, welded and painted for a standard 6 point with documentation for a log book which i thought was good.
