Probably the easiest swap is to the Stanza struts which will mean using the Stanza steering knuckle,ball joints, lower control arm and T/C rod, this will give wider bolt spacing so you can fit 180B/200B/240K/280ZX etc.. struts. The Stanza discs/calipers are larger which will give a good increase in braking. Swapping to a larger 7/8 or 15/16 master cylinder would also be a good idea. I'd guess the 240K/200B strut with Z31/R31 Vented Discs and 4 spot Toyota calipers would be the best, though the 240K struts with 2 spot Sumitomos would still give great performance in a light 1200. This would also mean changing spring perches if you want to keep smaller diam. springs. I must do this myself sometime, I have a stock-as-a-sock 1200 and the brakes are just below OK at their very best :)
